Dub.co Alternative for Mobile Apps: App Links Without the $30 Paywall
Dub is a web link shortener that has turned into an affiliate platform. Mobile comes second: deep links need the $30 plan, attribution the $90 plan, Android attribution still isn’t out and Huawei isn’t supported at all. Here’s how Appy compares for app teams.
Mobile is a side project at Dub
Dub made its name as an open-source link shortener for marketing teams. Over the past year most of what it shipped went into Dub Partners, its affiliate product, and its own pricing FAQ pitches the Business plan to startups “looking to create an affiliate program”.
App links are there, but behind paid plans and full of gaps. The free plan can’t route by device or open an app, the Android SDK is still “coming soon”, and the docs only know the App Store and Google Play. We checked Dub’s pricing page and documentation on September 24, 2026.

Where Dub falls short for apps, and what Appy does instead
Where Dub falls short
- No device routing and no deep links on the free plan; both start at $30 a month.
- Deep link attribution only on the $90 plan, and only for iOS and React Native.
- No Android SDK yet, and no Flutter SDK at all.
- Only the App Store and Google Play; Huawei AppGallery isn’t in the docs.
- Most new features go to the affiliate product, not to app links.
What Appy does instead
- Store routing, AppGallery included, on the free plan.
- Opens the installed app from $9.99 a month.
- Android install source through the Play install referrer, with no SDK.
- Works the same for native, Flutter and React Native apps, because there’s nothing to install.
- A dashboard in seven languages.
Already on Dub? Move only the app links
You don’t have to rip anything out. Leave your web links and partner program in Dub and move every link that points at your app, like the QR code on the packaging, the “Get the app” button and the bio link, to Appy.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Dub.co alternative for mobile app links?
Yes. Appy is built for app links: one link that sends each visitor to the App Store, Google Play or Huawei AppGallery, opens the app when it’s installed (Pro), and passes the link slug into the Play Install Referrer.
Does Dub support deep links on the free plan?
No. Dub’s docs say deep links need the Pro plan or higher, and deep link attribution needs Business or higher.
Does Dub have an Android SDK?
Not yet. As of September 24, 2026 Dub lists iOS and React Native SDKs, both in beta, and says Android support is coming soon.
Is Dub good for app install links?
It works for iOS and React Native apps on the paid plans. If you need Android attribution, Huawei AppGallery, or an app that opens without paying $30 a month, Appy covers it.

onelink.to Alternative: Why a Store-Only Link Isn’t Enough for Apps in 2026
onelink.to still works the way it did in 2011: it sends people to a store page and stops there. Nothing on its site about opening your app, no Huawei AppGallery, and ads on the free plan after three months. Here is what Appy does on top, plan by plan.
Branch.io Alternative: No Card, No Overage Bills, No Expiring Links
Branch dropped its free plan. Today you hand over a card just to try it, land on $39 a month with overages that have no cap, and pay $199 a month for a custom domain. Links nobody clicks for 380 days expire. The full picture, and what small teams use instead.
