A raw myapp:// link only works when the app is already on the phone. Everywhere else it fails quietly, and you never hear about it.

Deep link questions
What is a deep link?
A link that opens a specific screen inside a mobile app, such as a product page, instead of the home screen or a website. The simplest form uses your app’s URL scheme, like myapp://product/42.
How is it different from a Universal Link or an App Link?
A scheme link only works if the app is installed. Universal Links on iOS and App Links on Android are https addresses the system hands to your app, but they need files on your domain and an app release. An Appy deep link is an https link that tries your scheme first and falls back to the store, with no change to your app.
Do I need an SDK?
No. Opening an installed app on the right screen works with the URL scheme you already have. If you also want people who install from the link to land on that screen after the install, that is deferred deep linking, which comes with the Appy SDK on the Enterprise plan.
Why do I need an account to create the link?
The short link lives in your account, so you can edit it, count clicks and keep it working. Sign-up is free and takes about 30 seconds.
Is it free?

Does it open the app from Instagram or TikTok?
Those apps open links in their own browser, and on iOS that browser can block the jump to another app. Appy tries the app, then falls back to the store, so nobody gets stuck on a blank page.
